The visitor also has the opportunity to enjoy the history of the village doing a visit in the roman village of Collet or other interesting sites like the Calonge castle or the Puigsesforques dolmen.
The beach of Torre Valentina is a large family beach located at the western end of the bay of Palamós. The tower that gives it its name was built in the 16th century to defend the town from piracy.
During the summer months many activities are organised, such as football matches or courses in dinghy sailing or water skiing.
On the promenade, which extends to the left to the Platja Gran of Palamós, you will find all kind of shops and restaurants. To the right, the patrol path leads to Playa de aro. This path leads to a very rocky coast dotted with an infinite numer of small coves.
