Truly unique and beautiful 3-bedroom apartment in a historic building from 1879, the heart of the Barri Vell (old quarter). This apartment has recently been completely renovated with a lot of love and an eye for detail. Old classical elements have been preserved and brought back in excellent condition and all this is combined with unique industrial contemporary elements.
'Rajoles' means 'Tiles' in Catalan. In almost every room of this apartment you will find the typical antique Catalan rajoles.
A wonderful place to relax and enjoy all the beauty that Girona has to offer.

The apartment is located on the second floor of a historic building in the center of Girona and with the entrance on Carrer de l'Argenteria, the extension of Rambla de la Llibertat.
The building has no elevator, but the entrance is spacious and the stairs are not very steep.
The long balcony at the front offers excellent views of the various festivals and parades that take place along the Rambla, and at certain times of the year the Tarlà de l'Argenteria (Plague-era acrobatic puppet).
From an environmental point of view, a conscious decision was made not to install air conditioning. Every room has a high-quality ceiling fan and in general this provides sufficient cooling. The thermal windows are of high quality and keep the heat out in the summer months and in during the winter months.
The living room has a comfortable sofa plus two armchairs and there is a spacious dining table with six chairs. There is wifi with fast internet and large smart TV.
There are three bedrooms, all with a double bed (150x200, 145x190, 140x200).
The bedroom at the front has access to the balcony and has a desk.
The kitchen has a classic and industrial design and is equipped with all modern conveniences. Everything is of very high quality. Dishwasher, oven, microwave, etc, everything is there for a comfortable stay.
There is a very spacious bathroom with a unique design. You will find a sink, shower and toilet.
In the hall, out of sight behind a wall, is a laundry room with washing machine.
Very handy, especially for cyclists, is an extra space to store bicycles or luggage.

The entrance is shared with other residents but when you are in the apartment this is for you and only you. It's your home in Girona!

The apartment is located in the center of the historic quarter, where access by car is difficult and parking is prohibited. It is important to note that you are only allowed to enter the historic center by car 3 times per quarter year. Although you are not allowed to park, you can usually load and unload your suitcases at our office. It is not possible to stop in front of the apartment. We always recommend parking first. The apartment is on the second floor of a historic building without a lift and the owners have deliberately chosen not to install air conditioning. Each room has a ceiling fan and there are high quality thermal windows. A late check-in is no problem but we do have a policy (after 21.00). Please note that a late check-in carries the following extra charges: - From 21:00 to 23:00, 20€; - From 23:00 to 00:00, 40€; - Check-in after 00:00 is in principle not possible. Of course if your plane is delayed and you arrive after 00.00 we will be there for you. Tourist tax: When we do the check-in your booking is paid via Airbnb, except for the tourist tax. Tourist tax is a local tax that we are obliged to collect and remit to the local government. The tax is 1,10 euro per person (16 years and older) per night, for a maximum of 7 nights.




The apartment is located in the heart of the historic center, the Barri Vell. At the front is La Rambla, a central lively street full of restaurants and terraces. From La Rambla it is ideal to explore Girona. It is just a few minutes' walk from, among other things, the Santa Maria Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter and the old city wall. It is in the middle of all the beauty, just behind Placa del Vi and a stone's throw from the Onyar houses. The old town is known for its wide variety of good, affordable restaurants and small boutiques. It is highly recommended for those who want to stay in a comfortable, unique place and experience this beautiful city.



Girona has its own airport just 20 min away by taxi (around 35 euro) or you can go by bus for around 3 euro and that will take you about 30 min. Buses will stop at the train station in Girona which is a 15 min walk from the apartment. The train station has a high-speed connection with Barcelona. In around 35 min you will be in the heart of that other great city of Catalunya. By train you can for instance also go to Figueres to visit the well know and beautiful Dalí museum. If you come by car you have to consider the parking options. The historic quarter (where the apartment is located) has limited traffic access (only 3x per quarter year), and you can’t just park in the streets. However, you can mostly stop in front of our office for a few minutes so you can unload your luggage, but after that you must park the car somewhere else. There are several places to park available near the apartment. There is a paid parking garage available which we highly recommend: Parking Saba Santa Caterina. It is just a 5 min walk away and they offer a multi-day ticket that is convenient and affordable. If you are interested, we can arrange it for you. There is also free, outside parking available, for example at La Copa which is a 10 min walk away.
