The apartment is on the second floor of a renovated building on Carrer de les Ferreries Velles. The entrance leads to the stairs and lift. The entrance is shared with other residents but when you are in the apartment this is for you and only for you. It is your home in Girona! Note! If you come with a car, we recommend to park first. The historic centre has limited car access, only three times per quarter year, and there is no parking allowed.
We have our office at Carrer de la Cort Reial 13 (Bravissimo), just a few-minutes’ walk away, where you can find us for all your questions. We are happy to welcome you in our apartment and hope you will enjoy your stay in Girona. So let us know if you have special requirements, and if you have any questions, please contact us. We will be happy to answer your questions. For example: bicycle rental, restaurants, places to visit, booking a taxi, printing documents etc.
The apartment is located in the center of the historic quarter, where access by car is difficult and parking is prohibited. It is important to note that you are only allowed to enter the historic center by car 3 times per quarter year. Although you are not allowed to park, you can usually load and unload your suitcases on Placa del Vi. The end of Placa del Vi (left side) is the nearest you can come with a car. It´s only 30 meters from the entrance of the building. Because of the limited access and that there is no parking allowed, we always recommend to park first. The apartment is on the second floor of a renovated building with a lift. Please be advised that the apartment is located in the center of the city. While Girona is not a busy ´24-7´ city, there may be some street noise if the windows are open. There are also many churches, and the bells toll every hour. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding. A late check-in is no problem, but we do have a policy (after 21:00). Please note that a late check-in carries the following extra charges: From 21:00 to 23:00, 20 euro; From 23:00 to 00:00, 40 euro; Check-in after 00:00 is in principle not possible. Of course, if your plane is delayed and you arrive after 00:00 we will be there for you. Tourist tax: When we do the check-in your booking is paid via Airbnb, except for the tourist tax. Tourist tax is a local tax that we are obliged to collect and remit to the local government. The tax is 1,10 euro per person (16 years and older) per night, for a maximum of 7 nights.
The apartment is located just steps away from Place del Vi, in the heart of the Barri Vell (old centre). This vibrant square, surrounded by historic architecture, quaint cafes, and lively markets, serves as the perfect backdrop to your Girona getaway. Our apartment is your ideal home base, providing not just accommodation but a gateway to the authentic beauty and cultural richness of Girona.
Girona has its own airport just 20 min away by taxi (around 40 euro) or you can go by bus for around 3 euro and that will take you about 30 min. Buses will stop at the train station in Girona which is a 15 min walk from the apartment. The train station has a high-speed connection with Barcelona. In around 35 min you will be in the heart of that other great city of Catalunya. By train you can for instance also go to Figueres to visit the well know and beautiful Dalí museum. If you come by car you have to consider the parking options. The historic quarter (where the apartment is located) has limited traffic access (only 3x per quarter year), and you can’t just park in the streets. However, you can mostly stop in front of our office for a few minutes so you can unload your luggage, but after that you must park the car somewhere else. There are several places to park available near the apartment. There is a paid parking garage available which we highly recommend: Parking Saba Santa Caterina: Plaça de l’hospital. It is just a 5 min walk away and they offer a multi-day ticket that is convenient and affordable. If you are interested, we can arrange it for you. There is also free, outside parking available, for example at La Copa which is a 12 min walk away.
