The apartment is on the first floor of a building with its entrance on Carrer dels Calderers, the main street of the Barri Vell. There is no lift. You only share the main entrance with the rest of the community. When you are in the apartment, this is for you and only for you. It is your home in Girona! Note! If you bring bikes be aware that the stairs are very steep, narrow, and high. It might not be possible to get (heavy) electric bikes into the apartment. Note! If you come with a car, we recommend you park first. You can get to the building with a car, but there is no free parking or stopping in front of the building. Nearest you can get is Plaça de Sant Feliu. We can arrange parking for you in a (paid) parking very nearby which is very convenient. We can also direct you to free parking.
We have our office at Carrer de la Cort Reial 13 (Bravissimo), just a few-minutes’ walk away, where you can find us for all your questions. The apartment is in the heart of the historic quarter, where access by car is very difficult and parking is prohibited. It is important to note that you are only allowed to enter the historic centre by car 3 times per quarter year. If you come with a car, we highly recommend you park first. You can come directly with a car to the apartment, but it is not easy. If you want to unload near the apartment it´s easiest to go to Plaça de Sant Feliu. The apartment is on the first floor of a building without lift. Note! If you bring bikes be aware that the stairs are very steep, narrow, and high. It might not be possible to get (heavy) electric bikes into the apartment. Please be advised that the apartment is located in the centre of the city. While Girona is not a busy ´24-7´ city, there may be some street noise if the windows are open. There are also many churches, and the bells toll every hour. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding. A late check-in is no problem, but we do have a policy (after 21:00). Please note that a late check-in carries the following extra charges: - From 21:00 to 23:00, 20 euro; - From 23:00 to 00:00, 40 euro; - Check-in after 00:00 is in principle not possible. Of course, if your plane is delayed and you arrive after 00:00 we will be there for you. Tourist tax: When we do the check-in your booking is paid via Airbnb, except for the tourist tax. Tourist tax is a local tax that we are obliged to collect and remit to the local government. The tax is 1,10 euro per person (16 years and older) per night, for a maximum of 7 nights.
Girona’s Barri Vell is a magical blend of history, culture, and charm. The Jewish Quarter (El Call) is one of the best-preserved in Europe, offering a glimpse into Girona’s diverse past. Explore artisan boutiques, hidden courtyards, and the famous Arab Baths for a taste of history and tranquility. The area buzzes with energy during festivals but retains its peaceful charm, making it the cultural and historical heart of the city.
Girona has its own airport just 20 min away by taxi (around 35 euro) or you can go by bus for around 3 euro and that will take you about 30 min. Buses will stop at the train station in Girona which is a 20 min walk from the apartment. The train station has a high-speed connection with Barcelona. In around 35 min you will be in the heart of that other great city of Catalunya. By train you can for instance also go to Figueres to visit the well know and beautiful Dalí museum. If you come by car you have to consider the parking options. The historic quarter (where the apartment is located) has limited traffic access (only 3x per quarter year), and you can’t just park in the streets. However, you can mostly stop in front of our office for a few minutes so you can unload your luggage, but after that you must park the car somewhere else. There are several places to park available near the apartment. There is a paid parking garage available which we highly recommend: Parking Saba Berenguer i Carnicer. It is just a 5 min walk away and they offer a multi-day ticket that is convenient and affordable. If you are interested, we can arrange it for you. There is also free, outside parking available, for example at La Copa which is a 5 min walk away.
