Protected under a blanket of white in the winter, the town is a kaleidoscope of colours the rest of the year. Stroll around the steep, narrow and uneven streets of its old quarter and you'll come across the bell tower of the church of Santa Maria, one of the town's main landmarks with an imposing structure that can be seen from any point in Puigcerdà.
