S’Agaró, one of the little towns in the municipality of Castell d'Aro, is an architectural jewel by the sea. This is one of the legendary and most exclusive areas of the Costa Brava.
At the turn of the 20th century, the noucentista architect Rafel Masó was commissioned by the Girona industrialist Josep Ensesa i Pujades to build something very special: an elite housing development with a distinctive noucentista style. Over a century later, S'Agaró is still a Mediterranean treasure. La Senya Blanca, Hostal de la Gavina, Domus Nostrum... each house forms part of an indivisible architectural complex declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest. Stroll along the coastal footpath that passes through the complex and pay attention to all the details; you're sure to agree that it's deserving of this status.
